10dence platform, in collaboration with an international group of artists, presents the exhibition project Myths, Tales and Mysteries. From May 31 to June 16, 2024, this exhibition will be on display at the Hof van Ryhove in the city of Ghent, Belgium. Twenty artists from all over the world will participate in the exhibition Myths, Tales and Mysteries and will show the creations they have made as a result of their personal confrontation with the concept.

The exhibition will be officially opened on May 31st at 2 p.m. by Peter Hofmann - eine art galerie for Germany. The exhibition is open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and you are of course very welcome to visit the exhibition. You are very welcome on the opening day to chat with the artists present over a drink...

Within this exhibition, the artists present their contemporary vision on the themes of fairy tales, myths, legends, fables and fables, which form a fundamentally important part of every culture and of the collective memory of all. Themes based on stories and narratives from different cultures. These themes find their origin in our distant history and today recur in the world of fantasy stories and films. They unfold in the myths, sages, fables and legends of antiquity and lead to the world of our fairy tales, which were initially delivered only orally. Cruel gods, brave heroes, evil spirits and witches, wondrous hybrid creatures, innocent unicorns, benevolent fairies and powerful dragons, but also legendary swords and valuable treasures and many other characters and features appear in these stories. They are present in all cultures. Carved in clay, written by the Brothers Grimm, Andersen, Wild and La Fontaine, illustrated by Doré, Richter, Kubin, Vogeler, Dulac, Schädler and many other artists.
