Armano Jericevic

Armano Jeričević creates a deeply personal yet universal density in his art, which can easily be classified as lyrical-abstract painting. His work, often conceived in acrylic on paper or as a collage, arises not from prepared sketches or concepts, but entirely spontaneously—as a direct reflection of his inner state, his thoughts and feelings on that particular day.

Jeričević understands his painting as a poetic act: each brushstroke corresponds to a sentence from his "metaphysical landscape" – an existential interior that the viewer can reflect and fill with their own feelings. It is precisely this openness and emotional directness that characterize lyrical abstraction – a movement that is free, intuitive, subjective, and strongly connected to philosophical and spiritual themes.

His works are characterized by subtle simplicity, expressive color fields, and spontaneous lines – they leave room for personal interpretation. The works "Still Stormy..." and "Achromatic Warrior" demonstrate this combination of formal reduction and lyrical gesture: powerful sweeps, supported by muted tones, often monochrome or minimally colored, with impasto accents.
