Muriel Massin, born in 1949, is one of the lyrical-abstract painters. She lives and works in the heart of Paris. In her early days she worked figuratively. However, over time she developed her own abstract style that allows her to work with material and color rather than a theme.
Seeing painting as a physical engagement, she works with large brushes on the floor, mostly acrylics and charcoal, pastels and oil brushes. Some of her works are collages with paper. She uses canvas as well as wood and paper as medium. Muriel Massin has made a name for himself on the national as well as international scene and is represented at many exhibitions in France, but also in Germany, Russia, Spain, Italy and Brazil.
