Muriel Massin
Lyrical abstraction
Muriel Massin
Muriel Massin, born in 1949, is one of the lyrical-abstract painters. She lives and works in the heart of Paris. In her early days she worked figuratively. Over time, however, she developed her own abstract style, which allows her to work with material and color rather than with a theme.
Since she sees painting as a physical engagement, she works with large brushes on the floor, mostly with acrylic paints and charcoal, pastels and oil brushes.
Some of her works are collages with paper. She uses canvas, wood and paper as a medium. Muriel Massin has made a name for herself on the national and international scene and is represented in many exhibitions in France, but also in Germany, Russia, Spain, Italy and Brazil.
