Abigail Stern lives and works in New York. She studied both art and art history. Your works have a very graphic effect. She sticks paper on paper, paints photos, fabrics, objects and wood. The formal rigor is broken up by photos, wood and color. She uses traditional materials such as Chinese ink, handmade paper from Nepal and Tibet and rice paper. Poetic collages are created, complex and evocative.
