Abstract mysticism
Born in 1970 in Bochum, now lives and works in Dinslaken.
The theme of his art is determined by mystical, fantastic figures, creatures and grimaces. Above all, the “encounter” should be the focus of the work. But communication or the lack of interaction between people is also shown. The works often radiate a certain indifference or arrogance, but also contain a kind of dynamism and aggressiveness. A seemingly uncontrollable scenario emerges, which is consciously chosen by the artist in order to symbolize a reflection of our society.
Although his art is oriented towards abstraction, the expressive and emotional elements of his figures and creatures are the focus of his works. The intense colors also appear dominant in his works. This makes the paintings and sculptures appear wild and passionate. Consequently, the viewer of his art is confronted with an exciting mix of socio-political concerns, satirical elements and an extremely expressive form of design.
