Markus Boltz, born in Bochum in 1970, is a German artist who now lives and works in Dinslaken. He began his artistic career as a self-taught artist at the age of 18 and, over time, developed an expressive style that oscillates between abstract expressionism and figurative representation.
In his paintings and sculptures, Boltz addresses the depths and weaknesses of human society. Through the use of grotesque grimaces, mystical beings, and intense colors, he creates works that criticize the indifference and superficiality of modern life. His works are intended to stimulate the viewer's reflection and reveal the hidden emotional layers of society.
