Nobxhiro Santana (born 1959, Japan), originally known under his real name Nobuhiro Mido, has been dedicated to digital art under his pseudonym since the mid-2010s His works take us back to the origins of painting: through seemingly random lines and layers in Photoshop, he creates arcs of tension that merge into harmonious, abstract compositions in the creative process.
Santana uses digital multiple-exposure techniques to create new motifs from diverse image fragments. His work is both abstract and conceptual, often realized in strictly limited edition giclée prints on heavy paper and hand-signed. Since 2016, he has been regularly represented on international platforms, participated in renowned online competitions ("PERSPECTIVEOF Communication" 2016, "Possibility" 2017), and has been shown in galleries in Budapest, Skopje, Germany, and Italy.
Nobxhiro Santana's art focuses on the interplay between uncertainty and structure: From apparent chaos, autobiographically charged spaces emerge that make both the immediacy of digital processes and the poetry of abstract visual worlds tangible.
