Ute Roim is an established artist from Germany whose work has been featured in solo and group shows internationally. After studying interior design, Roim became interested in other art forms and their intersection with our way of life. Combining photography and painting, she creates unique portraits that underscore a subject's charisma and personal identity.
She herself says about her art: “First of all, I am overcome by a feeling of freedom. On screen, I'm free to do whatever I want, when I want, however I want. The objects that inspire me leave imprints on my consciousness... travel, people, architecture, colors, words. I love photography... but just looking at my photographs on a screen is not enough. I need to create a connection with my photographs using acrylic paints to create a powerful impression of modern art... My art, my style."
Her technique: acrylic on canvas or acrylic on photos... always uncomplicated, timeless, minimalistic, emotionally provocative.
